THE LIGHTHOUSE PRAYER MINISTRY (MCCPF) grew out of the Saffron Walden Baptist Sunday School
and Young People’s Fellowship in Essex, England UK the mid 1950’s.
OUTREACH TO ZAMBIA ///////////////////////////////////////////
Ten years ago we received a request from a young evangelist Jackson Chanda in Northern Zambia for Bibles, Bible study material, second hand Bible Study notes, cassettes and videos for new evangelism, and church planting in the Nchelenge district on the coast facing Lake Mweru on the Zambian/Congo Border. 7 years ago he and his wife Christine established a congregation which has now grown to 60 and he is Elder in Charge with 4 elders to help him, We were asked to supply Good News Bibles and friends at Walden, Ramsgate, Bishop's Stortford and Newport provided 42.
Jackson uses a bike to get around his congregations but much cycling has caused problems with his legs.
He has had to take 2 months out for treatment to them. For this he has to pay the local herbalist £350. There is no National Health Service there and no local hospital. To this he has raised £100 selling a piece of land and he has one piece left he must sell though it is unlikely to raise much more. He is anxious of how to find the other £250 to complete his treatment. Please pray for his complete recovery and that he can raise the money for the treatment. If the LORD healed him he would not need to find the money for treatment.
3 years ago that church began evangelising with missions on 3 islands on the Lake in the swamplands from which
a river flows as a tributary of the Congo River. There are now 3 congregations on these islands in all about 300 people for whom we were invited to supply Bibles as they are all too poor to buy them.
We supplied 58 Large Print at £11 a copy in the Bemba language and 72 large print at £5 a copy in English [ In UK this edition sells at £25 ] These are being used in the 3 churches by dividing the congregations into small groups to share them and study them together.
There is an elder in charge of these 3 churches Donald Kapasa and two assistant elders Webby Musonda and Fred Bangwe, and 8 lay preachers. Another 200 Bibles at £35 would be useful to supply all the church members a copy. We have supplied Study Bibles to each of these 3 church leaders. Jackson and Christine have 4 children of their own but several years ago they adopted 10 Aids Orphans and several of us share the cost of their education [ £750 a year for the 10 until 2014. ]
Two years ago we were asked to help pay the freitage and haulage costs of a shipping a container of training equipment, 2 computers and some typewriters, bicycles and wheel chairs from TOOLS WITH A MISSION in Ipswich to the church at Nchelenge to be used in community groups where local volunteers would teach young people various crafts and trade skills and from the sale of the products they make the children being educated are to be funded with other help to the community. Members of our Congregation contributed £800 to get the equipment there.
PROJECT 2014
//////////////////////////
We have now been asked whether we can fund the the freitage and haulage costs of another shipping container of training equipment for the creation in a nearby village of a Club and training scheme for disabled people. Over 100 of them have joined up to a Together We Survive Group, and are visiting the elderly and disabled caring for them as best they can with sparse resources.
Tools With a Mission are willing to send the supplies but not until 2014 due to the backlog of requests they have, but seek support for paying the costs of getting it there which we reckon will be around £1100.
At present our Ministry is in deficit and has been since the October apart from the money to pay the next instalments in April and September for the Orphans education.
We try to provide 2 or 3 times a year, funds permitting, a Prayer News Letter to those known supporters, and put it on the Web site where quite a lot of people read it. Prayer is vitally important.
I , John Maddams act as Administrator and Stephen Brown as Second Signatory for our account at Lloyds TSB, who would take over if I was incapacitated or died.
We wish to express our grateful thanks to everyone who has supported this ministry during the past year.
UTTLESFORD OUTREACH .
//////////////////////////////////////////////
This past year two of us have delivered house to house the Gospel Magazine VIA published in Canada, to over 3,400 homes in Uttlesford. Beginning in dry March in Clavering and closing during wet and windy November in Farnham, Lindsell, Little Bardfield, and finally on a frosty afternoon in December to Bran End Stebbing.
The aim remains to reach seekers, and people who never attend a Church providing them addresses, phone numbers and websites from which they can get help. We deliver relying on the Holy Spirit to minister to those God wants to draw into his Kingdom. Hits to our web sites prove there is a response.
Since 2009 this distribution has reach 12,000 homes, in the towns of Stansted, and Thaxted , and 61 villages and hamlets, leaving yet to do when we can obtain more stock, urban Dunmow and about 30 more villages and hamlets, and more new homes in Walden and Stansted.
PRIOR'S GREEN is a comparatively new large housing estate at TAKELEY where we delivered VIA in 2010 and where Thaxted Baptist Church began a monthly Prayer Meeting that year, now since July has the Rev Kim Lepsley living there, who is Curate of Takeley Parish Church.
Prior's Green Mission now operates at the new Primary School Hall there, with a Prayer Meeting on the 3rd Thursday evening in the Month at 8pm, and an informal two hour service session on the 3rd Sunday each month from 4pm. Monthly on the 2nd Tuesday a Men's Group is meeting at a home on the estate. GRAPEVINE the Church's magazine, is being delivered to all the homes 10 times a year. From this school recently 25 shoe boxes were sent through the Christmas Child project to Eastern Europe.
The Vicar of Takeley and Little Canfield is the Rev Robert Burles, and in the 18 months he has been there several couples from the estate have brought their babies for baptism,
Please pray for this new development. A similar one exists at Flitch Green on the Dunmow / Felsted border, and another
at Stansted, the Forest Hall Estate, where we have taken VIA. Soon we may have our own at Saffron Walden on the East of Shire Hill. All great opportunities for pioneer mission.
GHANA please continue to pray for

who we have supported over many years as an evangelist who was taken very ill last year but is much better now. Before taken ill he was able to distribute personally Bibles to a number of top executives in his country. He tells us that he has obtained employment to provide a consultancy for a micro finance firm. He asked for a Bible for a young Roman Catholic who is doing Bible Study with him and feels a sense of call to become a pastor. He tells us that his brother Dennis graduated from a top IT college in July, & his brother Richard enlisted in the Ghanaian Navy in October.

We have begun supporting ECHO OF HIS CALL MINISTRIES founded in 1969 at Chennai committed to reaching millions of people in Bangladesh, India, Nepal. Pakistan and Sri Lanka countries we have helped over earlier years. We have funded some Bible Study Course Books and are planning to help fund an evangelistic magazine in West Bengal

Pastor Enock M Dimba

of Christian Resource Ministries PO Box 883, Blantyre, Malawi will still be pleased to receive second hand Daily Bible Study notes from anyone willing to send them direct and Bibles are still needed in the local languages at a cost of £8 each for 46 more Primary School orphans and money for them may be sent payable to Christian Resource Ministries, to Mr Jim Figgis. Christian Resource Ministries, The Bible Shop 40a High Street, Dumferline DG5 4AA.Scotland. They can also accept Co-op Gift Tokens exchanging them for groceries and sending the money saved for Bibles in Malawi.
Christian Resource Ministries has many churches in Africa.
We were able recently to supply replacement Chichewa Bibles to pastors in Lower Shire who lost theirs in flooding this year and to one whose home burned down. Also we were able to provide Bibles in Tumbaka to 6 pastors in Northern Malawi.
During Aug – Nov, Enock is touring visiting 150 village churches in remote parts of Malawi and Mozambique, encouraging pastors and congregations at each, & showing the Jesus Film, over 700 new converts have resulted.
NIGERIA ///////////////
In March we had sufficient funds to complete a request from the
Disciples of God Church
########################
at Ibadan Nigeria for 140 more Bibles, Our contact there Paul has now asked for 350 more for converts from the revival that has broken out there in the wake of severe persecution by Moslems. The Church there wants to give them out to new converts already waiting and to give copies away in 4 villages, 3 markets, 2 prisons, and for a new church planted in Osun State. This would cost another £350 plus £13 Moneygram fee. We have no money available.
So there are 350 converts who each need a Bible and each could reach and bring others to the LORD. Indeed one woman wrote direct to me by email me and we sent two Bibles to her to help 2 other girls. The Bibles are available out there for £1 a copy but many people are unemployed or on very low income and cannot afford to buy even a £1 Bible.
We have no money and indeed are in debt and repaying a loan taken out to service another project So I suggested he wrote to The Bible Society of Nigeria who can draw grants from the United Bible Societies to whom the Bible Society in Britain makes substantial grants, and the latter had said if he approached the Bible Society in his own land they would help him, but they did not.
I suggested he contacted the Open Doors Mission and the Barnabas Trust who work in Nigeria helping converts from Islam, as so too we have done. but they could not help.
Then I suggested to Gideons International who were having a Bible Blitz in Nigerian cities in early November that they contact him and several other contacts I have in Nigerian cities. They did not reply.
The Trinitarian Bibles Society who continually boast the importance of the AV would not help either.
If these big organisations with scores, hundreds or thousands of supporters wont help and we and our small band of supporters have no money left. 350 disciples will have to go without
If anyone reads this news and can spare £350, or less, or more and agree these people ought to have Bibles please contact

May I also ask for prayer support for Christian Witness to Israel. Their roots go back into the mid 19th century, and they work amongst Jews in Australia, Bulgaria. France, Hong Kong, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, the UK and have just begun work in the USA. Their largest community now is in Israel, created for them in 1948 amidst much continuing hostility towards them from Arab and other Muslim nations. Within 30 years it is estimated that the majority of the world’s Jews will live there. So CWI are anxious to recruit and train new young Jewish Christians who will be able to work in Israel as evangelists of the fast growing Christian Church in Israel. For about a decade they have been working on a new Bible in modern Hebrew. All the Old Testament up to Proverbs have been published since 2001. To discover more contact them at CWI Worldwide 166 Main Road, Sundridge, Sevenoaks, Kent TN1 6EL. www.cwi.org.uk and www.shalom,org.uk. We supply them our foreign stamps to sell.

who we have supported over many years as an evangelist who was taken very ill last year but is much better now.

In March we had sufficient funds to complete a request from the
Disciples of God Church

at Ibadan Nigeria for 140 more Bibles, Our contact there Paul has now asked for 350 more for converts from the revival that has broken out there in the wake of severe persecution by Moslems.
