LIGHTHOUSE PRAYER MINISTRY (MCCPF) grew out of the Saffron Walden Baptist Sunday School and Young People’s Fellowship in the mid 1950’s
Rejoice the LORD JESUS CHRIST is King! King of Heaven and King of planet Earth, ready and waiting to return and to reign on Earth. To govern Earth. Are we ready to receive Him and serve Him here? Are we warning everyone else?. Noah did and he was mocked, but he was proved right and we will be too.
OVERSEAS OUTREACH DURING 2012 -
====================================
OUR MAIN TASK is to raise £500 a year to pay 2 terms of education for 10 Aids Orphans in Zambia. Two former members of Saffron Walden Baptist Church living elsewhere pay the other term. From 2014 the amount may drop because several will graduate and because it is hoped profits from the sales of goods from the Vocational Training Centre there will help pay the fees. Several people put up £75 a year but we would appreciate 4 more.
GHANA
please continue to pray for Robbie Amusu who assisted at Easter 2011 in a mission in the markets of Bawjaise and was working in Accra and running a prayer meeting at which he ministered 3 evenings a week, had his job relocated to the city of Takarodi where he was taken ill and returned to his home village in the Volta Lake area where he is at peace but we have lost contact with him now.
Francis Mensah pastor of Mawjaise Christian Mission Church a congregation of subsistence farm workers to which we supplied Hymnals and an oil fired generator last year, and a bore hole and wheelchair earlier on,
Anthony Aboagye at Accra who has been teaching for 3 years in a Methodist Primary School but has been studying at University for a Degree has now graduated, and hopes to get a job in higher education. He has been helping with youth work at the Weijah Church and again at Victory Baptist Church.
Dr Thomas Tontie Baah, MB ChB, B Sc M.Sc , is Specialist in Ophthalmology and modern cataract surgery in who is in partnership with others operating with UNITE FOR SIGHT, restoring sight in rural areas.
Richard Owuso whom we helped many years ago when he was a school boy, but remembers our help with appreciation. is now married with children and is a successful businessman and involved in Christian work.
Kwese Mensah whom we helped with educational funding as a teenager around 1994 phoned up during the winter from Milton Keynes where he works in an IT business is married with children and is a committed Christian.
Stephen Aggrey whom we helped through the Maritime Academy in Accra some years ago when he was a professed Christian has lost everything and turned to male prostitution to survive. He has a soul that Christ has redeemed. Pray for his restoration. He no longer contacts us. We have send him several sets of Christian booklets, especially reminding him of his teens when at Easter he and his sister Felicity recited the Easter Story at Scripture Union Rallies.
Francis Gorman if he survives is an ordained minister. He used to be Head Master of a Junior School at Agona Swedru and a village evangelist visiting the villages north of the huge township and distributed literature we supplied him. We learned this year that in 2010 half the township was washed away in a great flood. We don't know whether he survived.
Ebenezer Cobbina a young Christian aged 16 whom we supported on an apprenticeship in leather work and shoe making appears to be a photographer's assistant at Dunkwa on Offin..
Patrick Guyam , a beggar suffering from severe leprosy with 3 children to care for to whom we supplied a Study Bible.
MALAWI
Just before the huge April post rise we had just enough money left to send 10 videos, the last batch of Devotional booklets and some pictures. Earlier we had donated 1000 bricks for the new dormitory at the Maoni Orphanage where Bibles are still needed in the local languages at a cost of £8 each for 46 more Primary School orphans and money for them may be sent to Mr Jim Figgis. Christian Resource Ministries, The Bible Shop 40a High Street, Dumferline DG5 4AA.Scotland while..
Pastor Enock M Dimba of Christian Resource Ministries PO Box 883, Blantyre, Malawi will still be pleased to receive second hand Daily Bible Study notes from anyone willing to send them direct.
NIGERIA
In March we had sufficient funds to complete a request from the Disciples of God Church at Ibadan Nigeria for 140 more Bibles, and at our request Gospel Literature Worldwide have sent 250 SOON Gospel papers.. We had another request from some elderly people near Benin for 10 large print Bibles and a Christian bookshop in their town was able to supply them at £5 each. So over 12 months in commemoration of the 400th Anniversary of the first publication of the so called King James Authorised Version in 1611, we have been able to supply to Nigeria 750 Bibles, some AV and some NIV as requested.
On March 30th we received 2 more requests from young new churches in Ibadan for 193 and 150, the leader of one being a converted Jehovah's Witness.Celestine. The other Patricia Chi. The bookshop there can supply but we would need £363 to pay for them including the Moneygram fee. We don't have that available in this year's Budget unless we received specific donations and we have requests from Zambia and Malawi yet to complete. Having supplied 750 it Is inevitable other groups will find out and start asking and we cannot supply the whole of Nigeria even though they cost less than £1 a copy. I have suggested that later in the year supplying 20 to one church and 15 to other, suggesting they form share study groups of 10
Pastor Samuel Imade of Oredomi Community Church Effuron in Delta State arrived home from evangelising to find his church building and home a smouldering ruin, one of 22 churches torched by the Satanic Islamists. 23 of his congregation
have lost their homes and with them their Bibles and he has lost his and asks for a Study Bible. I have arranged to send him a Thompson Chain Reference Bible given to me last year, and we have been able at £2 a copy to supply the other 23 with replacement Bibles. His congregation of 115 are worshipping beneath a large tree.
Evangelist Pastor Terry J Bon of OBBI Christian Fellowship, Plot 48 Aska Road E Ibadan OYO State Nigeria 200001 witnesses house to house and visits hospitals, schools and hotels, and many lives have been transformed and many have received Christ as Saviour but they all lack Bibles. He has asked us for 210. If we had a spare £210 we could do so in 10 minutes but we haven't. I have passed his request to Gideons International but Nigeria appears to be one of the few places they have no branches or members. The opportunities exist abundantly and Christians willing to distribute but the Church in Britain is not listening to God's call to seize the day. If anyone can send Terry 2nd hand Bibles direct please do so
.

Elder Chanda Jackson of P O BOX 740009 Nchelenge. Luapula, Zambia who looks after the 10 Aids Orphans also asked for additional Good News Bibles for converts to his preaching crusade on the island on Lake Mweru last autumn. We made this known to Christian contacts on the Internet but received no response. Copies would need to be sent direct to him, not to us, and by small packet surface rates with attached a white customs label from the post office. We also made known his need for 50 large print Bibles in the local language for converts who cannot speak English costing about £10 each. One person responded to this request, but no money has arrived yet. I hope we may be able to fund some at least. If anyone would like to help at £10 per copy Please send cash or cheques to me made out to The Lighthouse Prayer Ministry,
Prisoner Ome Njekwa of the Maximum Security Prison P O Box 80915 Kabwe Zambia seeks a fellow Christian who will exchange letters with him and would like packet soups, toothpaste, soap, size 42 or 43 [ 8 or 9] shoes, and large size shirt if anyone can help him, He awaits appeal after 10 years in prison cut off from his family and neighbourhood without any visitors.
Another man Nason Musonda of Lusaka Central Prisons has written. Aged 60 with a wife and 2 daughters who were at High School, they rented a home but had bought land and have the foundations of a house completed. He bought a vehicle in 2009 which turned out to be stolen. The police charged him with stealing it and he was put in prison awaiting trial. He is still waiting and may wait another 6 years in that decrepit system. The Legal Aid lawyers are few and snowed under with thousands of cases, so he has decided to go private to clear his name. He asked for £500 to pay their annual rent and food. The girls can no longer go to school, and a lawyer could cost £6000 or more. I replied with some spiritual encouragement and him referred him to the Prison chaplain, the Prisoners Fellowship and the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office. It underlines the injustice of that land
Pastor Dominic Mulalambuka is a Chaplain with the Zambian army who can recycle Gideon New Testaments or any other pocket size NT's If anyone can supply him direct do so to Pastor Dominic Mulalambuka. C/O TUG-ARGAN BARRACKS, ALPHA COMPANY , POSTAL AGENCY NDOLA ZAMBIA
