IT IS FINISHED ! Jesus said on the cross, but that was just the start of something else, to spread the fact of salvation to all the people who live on the Earth which is what we are all engaged in still and there is still a long way to go to reach everyone, but we can each reach some as we share the work. Please pray for the people named in this bulletin and for all those through them who have received what we have sent or funded.
IN EGYPT We are funding 2 children in Summer Camps at £15 each. £15 will fund their week long stay at camp, and their food and a Bible to keep. This is through the Mission Charity STEPHEN'S CHILDREN I can supply an address on request for this
IN MALAWI I was asked to provide a special Easter message on one side of A4 tthat was translated t and read out at the Orphanage on Easter Day as was done at Christmas . I concentrated on Christ the King.

Pastor Sam.
Pastor Paul Omochukwa asked for over 200 last October but contact was lost. It appears his church premises were burnt down by Islamists, with many in the area and the folk have been hiding in the Bush until relieved by the Army in March. He has written “ God, we bless you for these 225 Bibles you have sent to us through Gate Way Bible bookshop,it is going to bring a lot of relief to us and assist us in evangelising in our area.”.
Please remember us in your prayers because the persecution of Christians is getting hotter everyday.
God bless you and everyone around. Glory be to God [ AMEN say I ]
Pastor Musiba has also been supplied with additional books for his Christian Lending Library .We hope to supply more later
IN PAKISTAN We have been enabled to supply during this year Pastor Patras with 310 Bibles in URDU for distribution. We were not able to supply all we had hoped to, due to a 50% price increase due to the fall in the value of the £ due to Brexit. He pastors the area where 100 people died at Christmas from poisoned alcohol
He has asked for 500 more Bibles for Easter that would cost £3500..He accepts that this wont happen now but over the year hopes to deliver 600 in villages near where he lives..
IN ZAMBIA We have recently sent 6 Study Bibles for the 45 strong Never Give Up Hope Group of Christian lifer prisoners begun by Frank Chilufla who is in it , now led by Lloyd Kushipa in the Maximum Security Prison at Kabwe , 3 in English and 3 in Aramaic to be shared by a group of 15 Ethiopian prisoners. We also sent 2 Study Bibles with Concordance, commentary and maps. Namashoba Kagoba the new Leader of the 20 strong Christian Care Group on Death Row for which He runs Alpha Courses, and teaches RI and IT in the Prison Training Centre, We have also sent both groups packets of Christian magazines and Commentary material. We have also heard again briefly by an email from Elder Chanda Jackson asking for help for medical fees. He is still very ill. He it was who pioneered 4 churches in the Nchelenge area that we have helped over a decade with Bibles & Christian literature.
LOCALLY THE CIRCULATION OF VIA MAGAZINE IN SAFFRON WALDEN labelled with options for finding out more, have now been completed to over 4500 homes leaving about 2000 – 2500 to go. To new homes as they come on line we include a leaflet CHRISTIANS TOGETHER IN SAFFRON WALDEN that includes the locations, Sunday morning service times, and website addresses for all the Christian congregations in Saffron Walden. As one newcomer to the town mentioned recently “ the Churches in Saffron Walden do not advertise themselves much for new residents.” Maybe that is one reason why total Church attendances at worship average 1,300 – 1,500 when the 2011 Census figures indicated 9750+ people in the town regarded themselves as Christians. One wonders where the rest worship, the roads to Cambridge, Stortford , Haverhill , Harlow and the villages must be choked on Sundays, but judging by the congregations there, not many get through, and then there are the 6,500 or more who claim not to be Christians .
The Apostle Paul reminds us in his second letter to the Church at Thessalonica [ Ch, 1 v 6-10 ] God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. With such a prospect should we not be warning people? Surely so.
NEW LIFE NEWS a 12 page tabloid style newspaper, EASTER SPECIAL edition , was distributed during April to 400 selected business addresses around town with options to find out more. We circulated that paper to most homes in the town,as was, from 2003 – 2009. We''re also used an ODB booklet “Should we care about Easter?” with a card to various people.
FROM 2009 – 2016 VIA WAS DELIVERED TO THOUSANDS OF HOMES in every parish in Uttlesford, to most of the homes at Linton, and to all the villages on the 2 main roads out of Walden to Cambridge up to Trumpington; and then to some new estates at Trumpington. When Walden is completed there are new estates to do at Newport, Thaxted, Rickling, Stansted , Dunmow, and there will be more at Walden and Linton. Our aim is to reach at least once every home but there is little evidence in many places of Churches taking the initiative to reach out and engage with the population, or even to just new homes. Is that why Jehovahs Witnesses who target areas regularly, are increasing in numbers, and growth in Muslims in UK exceed growth of Christians?. To deliver like this in many countries would put the distributing Christians in prison but here we are free to do so yet little is done. Sow sparingly = reap sparingly.
THROUGH OUR SMALL GRANTS FUND.[ SAMMF ] separate from The Lighthouse Prayer Ministry we also have supplied gifts to:-
Stort Valley Gideons for distributing Gospels and Psalms to 12 year old school children locally

With my kind regards John E Maddams
