[/div]NOVEMBER 2015
THE WORD OF GOD is invisible – but has ALL POWER!
One of the many names of the CHRIST. [ from Greek ] and MESSIAH [ from Hebrew] is THE LOGOS, and Logos is from a Greek word meaning
THE WORD OF GOD. So Jesus the Christ, is THE WORD OF GOD – Through Him all things were made, all things are possible, in Him is life [ John's Gospel 1 verses 3-4 ] He is the secret the scientists are searching for, the source of the dark matter they cannot find, the invisible energy behind all substance, the creative spoken force of the universe, the author of every structure, every atom, of all DNA. HE upholds. Sustains, all things by the WORD OF HIS POWER. [ Hebrews 1 verse 3 ]
We date the beginning of the Lighthouse Prayer Ministry from July 1st 1954, so we have completed 60 years during which we have been enabled by God to reach out across about 176 countries.
FRANCE Missionaries Robert & Janet of Echoes of His Service have for a long time sought a voice to record a French audio track for the video The Seeker's Quest that would enable it's wider use through Francophone Africa, France. Belgium, and encourage further translation from French into other African languages. As they were praying and searching their son Tim who is bilingual in French and English has been quietly recording the whole text at home and recently presented them with it , and the video will be widely available in a few months.
GHANA Please continue to pray for Anthony Aboagye continuing his training for the ministry in California, due to graduate next May who may then do a Chaplaincy Course and anticipates a call to missionary service.
MALAWI We have funded 10 local language Bibles this month for orphan children.
MOZAMBIQUEE We funded one of the 2 new tents that Pastor Enoch Dimba and his 3 colleagues needed for their visitation in Northern Mozambique during which over 1,300 converts were recorded. This has resumed and continues until Christmas.Throt mission Christian Resources Ministries has over 700 churches to care for in Northern Mozambique and Southern Malawi
NIGERIA
Evangelist Celestine who we helped last year. He is a pastor evangelist working in 17 locations across 2 Nigerian States. In April he asked if we could supply some more Bibles for new converts. We couldn't then. I contacted him earlier this past summer and asked how many he needed? He said 405. I responded that I had been thinking of maybe 100. “No it has to be 405, that is how many new converts across 2 states are waiting for Bibles”. So we've supplied 205 and told him we'll send the rest later in the year when we have some more funds which we did.
Pastor Henry at Afuze village in Delta State has been supplied 200
James Eghe He is a Junior school teacher, married with 5 children, a born again Christian, and on Saturdays he is part of an evangelical team of Mission to God Missionary Church who go out into the villages. At the village of IGUADOLOR over several months a lot of old people have become Christians. The young people have migrated to the urban areas where there are jobs, running piped water and electricity. Could we possibly supply 63 Bibles. They have them now. He asked if it would be possible for him to have some Christian books. These we have been enabled to supply is prepared to wait and we can get them at a discount.
Sister Esther of Uzekpe Outreach Church in Edo State is a women's evangelist to women and last year we supplied 40 Bibles and we have just supplied 50 more for new converts, mainly from Islam,
Evangelist Akharme has disciples he visits in several states and asked for 142 which we have supplied,
Celestine Osuoha a Moslem trader in one of the market complexes of Ibadan to whom we provided a Bible through an evangelist about 2 years ago. He read it and shared it with his wife and family until there was a whole family group of new converts and we later provided some Bibles through a third party. Recently he asked for Bibles for 85 Moslem neighbours and fellow traders. They meet with him and his family to read & discuss Christian books. We have funded 85 Bibles,
This year we have been enabled to supply 2078 Bibles to Nigeria making it 7863 since 2011.
We have provided Pastor Obbi Nnas about 100 miles from Ibadan with 100 Bibles for his 4 year-old church. He needs 175 more & 15 large Print copies for poorly sighted people which I hope to do in 2016.
We have been enabled through David Olonton to place 50 large Print Bibles at £3.50 a copy in Edo Prison at Benin City for people with poor eyesight which has brought much joy.
We met another request from a Rev. Kenice Ihe CITY OF GLORY MISSION near Benin city for a study Bible for himself and 105 Large Print Bibles,
Pastor Daniel Bamidele asked for 72 Bibles and we sent Ifeanyi Osuoha the proprietor of Joy to the World Christian Bookshop, Ibadan to check him out and he recommended sending a few more so we have supplied 100.
Pastor Uche Chukwu of Soul Winners Ministries,Soul Winners Baptist Fellowship near Ibadan, who has been using VIA magazine as a source of evangelistic ministry and preaching topics has requested 180 Bibles which unless we hope to deal with about April.
Pastor Musiba reports that The Lighthouse Christian Library at his Village Church near Benin City which we launched in 2014 has been a great blessing to their community . We have supplied over 300 books.
Evangelist Gabriel Uwadia of United Gospel Mission has written asking for 500 Bibles which will likely cost £750-£800. and some of these are for converts from Boko Harem fighters and other Muslims in the North of the country. Given our present waiting list and income sources we might manage it by June 2016
Jane Igiede is a young woman,a born again Christian, an orphan, she lives with a non- Christian aunt who tries to prevent her going to worship and who wants her to use her assets – her body- by becoming a prostitute. She asked my advice, and for 25 Bibles for herself and her friends. I advised her and she accepted my advice and we have supplied 25 Bibles.
I am telling the evangelists and pastors that if they need more Bibles for new converts they should budget money to do so and if everyone who was given a Bible was asked to make a small gift annually for it, this would create income to provide more. That British Christians already donate the money for the paper and ink to Amity in China to print the Bibles and the importing booksellers sell at cost or less than cost subsidising from book sales, the recipients should expect to help.
Since taking that decision
Pastor Cosmos Ahas an evangelist visiting hospitals, schools, prisons, has asked for 410 Bibles
Mrs Morakinyo Jones asked for 450. She is the Matron of an orphanage Both have been told the earliest we might be avle ti heo would be 2017 or 2018. We are now in deficit The whole of Nigeria may need Bibles but with 88 million Christians they ought to be able toorganus themselves to help new converts, our 6 main supporters cannot do it all.
PAKISTAN. We supplied 38 Bibles to Pastor Patras for his work in Pakistan to school children and we hope next year to provide more.,
PERU Our ongoing Tree Planting Programme launched in 1991 which has funded planting 7643 trees in 16 countries, this year assisted a BMS Worldwide project in Peru which has really taken off encouraging local people to plant fruit trees.
ZAMBIA Please continue to pray for the 3 churches on the islands on Lake Mweru in Northern Zambia to which we supplied Bemba Bibles in 2013 and 2014 and for Frank Chilufya 's Worship & Bible Study Group at Kabwe Prison to which this year we have supplied Bibles, Hymnals & Books. We continue to pray for Elder Jackson Chanda for his healing and his future health, and for his tract distributing North of Nchelenge in the villages for which we funded tracts in Bemba language from Gospel Print Mission. Also for his Church at Nchelenge and the elders that maintain it where we also supplied many Bibles in English and Bemba, some hymnals, school supplies and funding over several years for the education of 0rphans he cared for most of whom have now left school.
Joseph S Musonda has been released but has not been in touch since so we regard our link with him as ended.
Padre Dominic Mulalambu with the Army unit in Luapula has been supplied more testaments for solders Joseph S Musonda more Christian books and we have also sent more Christian books to Malawi and Ukraine from those made available by Wayne, Ron Messenger and Marion Temple.

UK. VIA DISTRIBUTION So far this year Ken and I have delivered VIA to 2229 homes in 6 villages and 7 hamlets in Uttlesford and South Cambs, and some new homes in Saffron Walden.
